Random Acts of Kindness Day Is Here Again, This Is What You Can Do
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” – Aesop
February is a month of many celebrations, most of it are fun days which can be enjoyed without much stress and planning. In addition to Valentine’s Day, another significant celebration during February 17th is National Random Acts of Kindness Day. It is a day dedicated to understanding the value of kindness and realize the impact it makes in the lives of people. It is an opportunity to be the light in someone’s life by encouraging them, lifting them up with words and deeds.
There are a lot of lists that give you ideas about how to celebrate this day, and here are a few of our favorites:
- Ask someone “How are you?” and listen to what they really say
- Offer to baby sit for a single mom so that she can take a break
- Smile and say “Have a nice day” to a homeless person, when you help them
- Leave a Thank You note for the support staff in your work place
Also, if you’re an Amazon.com customer, you can shop through Amazon Smile so that a part of your purchase value will be donated by Amazon to your favorite U.S. nonprofit without extra cost to you.
There is no shortage of ideas and if you want to check out more, here are some interesting ideas you can put to use : http://www.bsuperb.com/random-acts-kindness/

Kindness is not limited to one day or one act, and at Sheltering Grace Ministry we constantly try to bring it into the lives of the homeless expectant mothers and their infants. Learn more about how you can help us by being a part of our #Be1of5000 program. Don’t forget to share this with your friends and loved ones.
Sheltering Grace Ministry, Ltd. is a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry. We resolve the initial crisis of homelessness by providing a safe place to live during pregnancy and by providing mothers with the tools they need to improve decision-making, to enhance employment options, and increase family income, to act responsibly as the head of their household, and to develop the self-reliance to progress to permanent independent living. Please join us in renewing and rebuilding the lives of these brave women – #Be1of5000.
